you have to monitor who you reach.
And this is the crucial part:
Don't reach those who don't want or need you.
In other words, don't strive for numbers
your goal should be gathering a quality audience.
Quality readers, followers, clients
name them accordingly to your business model.
In the end, this will get money in your pocket
smile on your face
and a better future to come.
But it does not mean shouting at everyone:
"Hey I am here. Buy from me or use me!"
